This is my day of rest. Doing laundry and resting my sore body. I think Tom causioned me to walk smartly. So I’m looking ahead and will by pass the next mountain. I only have to go from Sarria to Santigo to qualify for a certificate. So I will more than the minimum but not 163 miles. I find that I have to send my pack a head for 5 euros so another reason to shorten my route.
When asked why walk the Camino? There are many reasons but the first is to get closer to God. I wasn’t sure what that meant until yesterday when I put my life in his hands. For an over weight old man to to this you have to trust God and he has provided others to assist me. I see is presenc all around me people have been willing help even when it hard for them to understand what I need. Speaking Spanish would make lif easier but most people are patient and figure out what I need. God bless Spanish people. Of course not everyone is pleased to have pilgrims waking through their village. It is by humbling yourself that you realize that you are in his hands. I’m just starting to understand why I’m here and I have many lessons ahead.

Surely the angels are with you Frank, guiding and helping you all of the way & God watching you making sure you arrive safely to Camino.
The pictures are beautiful. The scenes so serine almost holy like.
I could just picture you & Junn doing this together would have been a riot.
